What is the answer?
In the last page I wrote about a 30 year old woman caught driving even though he is disqualified till 2042.
That was Saturday and Sundays paper had another 2 reports so I thought I'd share the wheel clamp idea. I e-mailed the letters page.

Dear sir
In a report (ST 7/8/05) a 30 year old woman banned from driving till 2042 is allegedly caught driving a car.
In (DT 8/8/05) a 30 year old man banned from driving till 2025 and another man aged 31 disqualified till 2018 are caught driving.
How does someone get banned till 2042? ( She will be a aged pensioner when she gets her license back if she doesn’t re-offend)
If all the extra years are added on as punishment for driving while disqualified, this deterrent obviously isn’t working.
Maybe if the driver’s vehicle is wheel clamped for a period after the first breach of a license disqualification, a lesson may be learnt and we wouldn’t have the farcical situation we have now.
How many other unlicensed drivers are on our roads?

The letter wasn't printed on Monday.
Cars can be impounded for doing burnouts ,so to me it's not a great step to wheelclamp the car to make it more difficult to drive,If the driver was told this will happen if you drive will disqualified,NO EXCEPTIONS.
