What does it take?
As I explained in previous pages the RMS is "installing" new HI-VIS yellow clearway signs.
This one (no more than two years old) is on display on Ryde Rd Pymble near Cultowa Rd
heading North, now with an added extra.
The one coach bolt holding the bracket to the pole is extra small, and then to help hold
the bracket up, there is a nail hammered in under it, which obviously didn't work.
The above photo I took on the 25/1/017
I took a drive over to Pymble today.
(14/2/017)
The extra signs I put up to highlight the
RMS' erection problem were all gone.
The worst "Your Taxes at work " clearway
sign (photo above) had been straighted, and
fixed in position with, ....... wait for it.......
an extra coach bolt as pointed out in the
close-up
This sign won't move again.
If all the clearway signs had two bolts (no bracket), all would be well
But the three droopy signs pictured below (as well as lots of others) are still the
same, even though my extra message boards had been removed
If you stand on the corner of Cultowa Rd, and Ryde Rd, you can see from that one spot, these three clearway signs, all with the same dysfunctional erection problem,
On the way home I saw this sad bit of work.
How long will it take for the new ones to end up like this?
Maybe I'll have to take out the old van sign, (with suitable wording), to attract some attention.
I asked three different Road Ministers, Roozendal,(4 emails) Daley(1 email sent, and a copy handed to him personally) and Mr. Borger (1 email) to have extra flashing school zone lights going South at Beverly Hills, on the school zone sign already there in the centre median garden

The now ex- MP David Borger saw merit in my common sense request, and people who stop at the traffic lights at the Beverly Hills Station now have a flashing reminder it's School Zone time when the lights go green.
It was easy to forget while waiting for the lights to change, and then it was a downhill run to the camera.
All that was needed were lights
About my emails about clearway signs ............... my inbox is empty, as far as a reply from my local member, or the road minister's office

Something I wrote a while ago
Driving near our place this morning
I noticed this old, battered
nearly illegible sign, dangling from it's pole.
you can see that someone had tried to hold up the bracket with that bent coach bolt
Looks so much better now and I'm sure
