Safe work practices were clearly on display on Tuesday afternoon as two workers put the finishing touches to the new speed/red light "safety camera" being installed on the Kingsway at Caringbah
.The men were resplendent in high visibility work clothes, they even thoughtfully wore hats to ward off the sun's harmful rays, and before climbing their respective ladders (guarded by a suitable number of large witches hats), the men also donned very strong, professional looking safety harnesses.
The only flaw I could see in this whole idyllic OH&S picture, was that in the 20 minutes I was there eating a late lunch of curry pie and apple turnover (with cream), was that one, obviously the more sure footed of the two, didn't once hook his harness on to anything while working up his pole.
Looked good though....from a distance
