Not enough Fines?
This article was in The Daily Telegraph yesterday.
Notice that this article doesn't mention anything at all about Flashing lights.

....................................................................
I e-mailed this for the Telegraph's letters page
.....................................................................
Dear Sir,
Government school zone committee member Mr Ron Delezio says that only 28 school zones have fixed speed cameras (Daily Telegraph Aug. 20)
TheTelegraph Editorial on the same date points out that fixed cameras are "ruthless at snaring interstate visitors and the stupid, and everybody else knows exactly where they are."
Driving up to a new fixed speed camera at King Georges rd. Beverly Hills recently, I noticed a speeding small red sedan, changing lanes, weaving through traffic and when it reached the spot where the camera is, the brake lights came on and then once past away it went again, much to the annoyance of the rest of the drivers doing the right thing.
The only way to catch that sort of arrogant moron is to have mobile cameras and UNMARKED highway patrol cars.
Why is this so difficult?
As for the ordinary motorist, all they need at School Zones are reliable flashing lights to alert them to WHEN it's school zone time.
Regards
Hans Stephens

The letter didn't make it into this morning's paper
But it has THIS morning (Wed 22,) and as you can see it is a condensed version that makes it into the "short and Sharp" column
After e-mailing Alan Jones (earlier page) he suggested me to ring the open line on 2GB which I did yesterday morning, and spoke to him along the lines of what is in the letter above.
