There were witches hats aplenty on the Kingsway at Mirand today as workmen are busy installing speed cameras on both sides of the road .

This is at the school zone where a couple of months ago all three independant solar powered flashing lights were faulty, and not working.

Let's hope that the money collected is used to fund reliable flashing light units.

I emailed Alan Jones this morning about an other, but related issue.

Hi Alan ,
The highway Patrol was mentioned again this morning.
What I saw on Monday evening shows we need more, and in unmarked cars. There's a new set of speed cameras on King Georges rd Beverly Hills and a little red car was darting from lane to lane passing the rest of the traffic doing the legal 60 kmh speed. No he didn't get caught, because his brake lights came on when he got to where the camera is and once passed, off he went again.
There needs to be unmarked cars to nab this sort of "clever" driver
A worker at one of the 3 new speed camera sites in my area ,which are at Forest rd Penshurst, Forest rd Hurstville and the Beverly hill one, told me there were another sixty cameras being installed in the metropolitin area.
Are we also getting sixty more highway patrol cars, or police to man the ones they've got?
