Speed cameras rake in millions at Beverly Hills and Kogarah

SPEED cameras at Beverly Hills and Kogarah have been among the top revenue raisers over the past five years.
The highest revenue earners in NSW would be the "variable speed" cameras in school zones.
The highest earner in fact being the Cleveland st Moore Park school zone
How much would these Moore Park cameras earn if they switched off after school zone time and didn't catch the cars cruising through this deserted area after hours?
The road minister's office hasn't replied to my request for the breakdown of figures at that school zone.

What a lot of nonsense, a couple of old speed cameras that don't make much money will be removed, and "in the interest of road safety" the ordered 40 new mobil speed camera vans will be rolled out, because the audit found that speed cameras ARE effective.

Police Association secretary Greg Davies said media outlets had been flooded by calls from people who had noticed police cars flashing lights where red light and speed cameras were.
‘‘The motoring public has been tooting, waving with big grins on their faces as they drive past very slowly,’’ Mr Davies said.
