Subject: bad boy Blake
Dear sir,
Who at the Sunday Telegraph decides what news the average The Sunday Telegraph reader would think is important? In the papers own article on page 50 it mentions in two columns, the typhoon in the Philippines ”one of the strongest storms on record that has claimed at least a 100 lives and forcing millions from their homes” with 5 photos, one showing a scene after the storm reminiscent of the aftermath of cyclone Tracy that devastated Darwin.
What made the front page, and was spread across pages 4 and 5 .with 10 photos, the earth shattering news that Anthony Mundine’s mate “bad boy” Blake has converted to Islam. Great for Blake if conversion to this peaceful religion helps him in his daily walk,
but front page news? I don’t think so.
Regards
Hans Stephens

Why I thought Typhoon Haiyan was THE story
LATEST IN WORLD'It's like the end of the world' "UNIMAGINABLE" is the only way to describe the terrifying aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, authorities say. Australia has pledged aid of $10 million to the Philippines. Close
WHAT WE KNOW NOW: •
10,000 people believed dead in Tacloban, Philippines •
Up to 9 million affected by Typhoon Haiyan, 4 million children • Philippines:
Wind gusts of 275km/h, storm surge 6m • Vietnam: Downgraded to Category One, wind gusts of 150km/h •
Australia pledges aid of $10 million - Foreign Minister Julie Bishop • Donate to UNICEF's typhoon appeal
CORPSES hang from trees, are scattered on sidewalks and buried in flattened buildings.
These are some of the 10,000 people believed killed in one Philippine city alone by ferocious Typhoon Haiyan that washed away homes and buildings with powerful winds and giant waves.
and the front page news was about "bad boy" Blake's conversion to Islam
