Busy day today.
Media releases galore.
The Daily telegraph reported this today

The last sentence is the one that gets me.
In favour of "HIGH VISABILITY" fixed cameras
This an example of what anybody would call "highly visable"

It's on one side of King Georges road Beverly Hills.

On the other side of the road at the the same spot, is another of the "high Visibility "cameras Mr Roozendaal's spokes person favoures
I've added the arrow to make it easier to find.
Oh for heavens sake, can't you see it, it's behind the parking sign.
Back at Beverly hills in the morning, the RTA have a special on
For 3 hours only in school zones, you can get double demerit points.

BURN BABY BURN
In England where they have 6/7000 speed cameras, this is what disgruntled drivers over there are doing, hanging a car tyre over the speed camera of choice, adding some petol and a lighted match.
For details and photos see. http://www.speedcam.co.uk/gatso2a.htm
Of course I would never advocate such drastic action in NSW, because here rational arguments and suggestions to make things safer and fairer for drivers and pedestrians are listened to, and acted upon promptly.
