Where have I been?
It has been so long since I have typed schoolzonesanta as can be seen on the date of the last post.
My whinging about clearway signs didn't seem as important as COVID.
The signs are getting worse and maybe I'll inquire how much has been spent per year in maintenance.
This brings me on to a totally different subject.
I have just come back from 6 day coach trip to the South West Rocks area with our PROBUS group
One place we visited was the CANOPY CAFE in the Dorrigo National Park. Good food served by pleasant staff.
Before I go on I'll bring us closer to home
Where has the missing $60
million gone????
Kurnell has a new ferry wharf (pictured) to go with a new wharf at La Perouse
These two wharves ended up costing $78 million instead of the 18 million mentioned at the start. What's 60 million over budget between taxpayers????
$78mil ferry fiasco: Two new wharves, but no regular …
Nov 16, 2023 · There will be no regular public ferry service between Kurnell and La Perouse when wharves, costing $78 million, are completed next year.
But no-one is interested in running a ferry between these two places so it's only people that want to fish off them than use the wharves.
‘White elephant’ wharves come with $500k annual price tag
Sydney’s newest ferry wharves are without a running service but will cost NSW more than half a million dollars a year to maintain. (as reported in The Daily Telegraph.)
To maintain the wharves costs another $500,000 per year. It does cost money to clean fish scales off and keep the place nice and tidy you know.

Back to the CANOPY CAFE later.
