Every council clean up more and more late model TVs are put out for collection. Invariable most are trashed by people breaking into them open for copper wireand other salvable material. How many good late model TVs will become superflouous this Xmas? How many pensioners who as Prime minister Gillard said "many of whom considered television to be their "only companion in life". would love to swap their pokey little old TV set with it's dodgy colours whith one of perfectly good large sets that are now thrown out as waste? http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/treasury/julia-gillard-defends-war-on-middle-class-welfare-in-budget/story-fn8gf1nz-1226054548578 "THEIR ONLY COMPANION IN LIFE" There is no market for "old TVs" so what is the answer? All that needs to be done is have somewhere wpeople can take their good unwanted TV when they are replaced by the new flat screen models and get them to the people that can really use them. How??? Get publicity to: (1) Find a place where people can take them (2) Find needy people that would really like them. Problem solved Not so easy going by the the reply to two emals I have sent so far. There was no reply!!!!
