RMS incompentence in Hi-Vis
As speeding is a major cause of the carnage on our roads, why would anybody be interested in helping people who have been caught speeding?
If you want to see my feelings about arrogant fools who have no regard for road rules, type highway patrol into the "search" panel on the right, and all the pages should come up, where I've gone on and on about that there needs to be more unmarked Highway patrol on the road to jump these morons.
The last few pages on this site should explain why I think drivers at Beverly Hills have been treated unfairly and their infringment notices need to be looked again with understanding.
The RTA and Goverment know that "spin" and delaying tactics will eventually cause most people affected to give up, and the media has long gone onto the next story anyway.
Adverse public oppinion is the only thing that goverments fear, (especially before elections)

an email recieved overnight said in part:
"Mr santa
why would you bag the lawyers who have got so many people off at Beverly Hills? Get a life and get off their backs"
Yes they did get drivers off at Beverly Hills, because there was not the LEGAL signage in side streets for the school zone drivers.
A clear cut case.
How many other drivers have signed on because of this initial success, who were booked after the 31/August when that loophole was closed by the RTA.
An email sent to me by one of the "Not Guilty" partners said in part:
..........
"We have tried everything within our power to persuade the RTA to reconsider their position on those fines but to no avail. They have now overturned approximately 5000 fines but don?t want to budge on the over 60 matters."
.........
How many drivers have signed on after seeing the Leader story last week, and now that the warning sign trailers are gone, expect a second wave of anguished drivers, willing to try anything to save their licence.
The RTA "won't budge" on the over 60 fines unless Mr Roozendaal picks up the phone, and he won't do that unless
he get's embarrassed into it by the court of public opinion.
That won't happen without publicity.
The "Not Guilty " partner in that same email said:
"My concern is that with the passage of time the media interest will diminish."
Of course it will Dennis, that is why I asked you for help on Oct 4 to put a paid "open letter" to Mr Roozendaal in the papers to stir a bit of media interest with no result except platitudes.
That is why I lowered myself again, to ask for help on Dec 12 to buy poster material, to try to and get interest from the media and put pressure on Mr Roozendaal.
All I got was a broken foot and 3 months of centre link benefits before I can walk again, and the drivers at Beverly Hills are still being shafted
I am drafting a letter to media, and it will only deal in facts and the photos, letters, emails, feedback from drivers I have, makes it clear that drivers at Beverly Hills have been shafted, by all and sundry.
When to send it out so that is most effective, is the question.
