The motorist Party?
In the NSW upper house there are two seats occupied by The Shooters party.
How many many votes of the shooters of firearms were needed out in voter land to allow these two gentlemen to now influence the running of NSW.
The Hon. Robert Leslie BROWN, MLC
The Hon. Robert BORSAK, MLC
THERE ARE A LOT MORE PEOPLE THAT DRIVE CARS, THAN USE FIREARMS
When the RTA rolls out another 40 mobile speed camera vehicles next July, judging by the angst caused by ONLY 6 now, I'm sure that by the NSW 2015 election there would be more drivers prepared to make a little protest vote for any new party with "MOTORIST" in it's title, than people wanting to shoot at something.
DRIVERS ARE AN UNTAPPED VOTING FORCE.
By 2015 there will be a lot more good average drivers out there very cranky about being screwed (in the interest of road safety" and the "WE DON'T CARE IF WE DON'T FINE ANYONE" when in this years budget they have forecast an extra $137 million in revenue from the new mobile speed cameras"
$570 million in fines by 2012 ....There must be a few protest votes in that no matter who is in power then.
A policeman pulls you over and you know you're speeding, or you didn't indicate fair enough, to get snapped a few kl/mh over at 2.30am by a mobile speed camera and get a letter in the mail 3 weeks later......as I said there has to be a protest vote or two in $570 million worth of tickets.
and that's only at chosen so called "blackspots". Wait till they let them set up anywhere, as the signs already say
"speed cameras anywhere anytime"

NO I'm not in favour of speeding,
I started this website not because I was bitter about being booked for speeding in a school zone, (I have never been booked in a school zone) but because even though 49,500 people were fined $6.5 million in one year at the Kogarah school zone nothing was done except to bank the cash, and then belatedly then flashing lights at either end of the school on Princes Highway forgetting about the major roads leading into the zone
All the way through this site, as in an earlier letter (below) I have said more Police not cameras.

The Tea Party in the USA was started at grass roots level by ordinary people disenchanted by Government and in the elections just held over there, tea party support helped hugely in the landslide win against an out of touch leadership.
THE TEA PARTY
"BAD GOVERNMENT THRIVES ON APPATHY"
COULD A TEA PARTY BE STARTED HERE?
WOULD ANY OF THE DRIVERS "SPEEDING" IN CLEVELAND ST MOORE PARK AND WHO HELPED PAY FINES WORTH $17 MILLION IN 3 YEARS AT THIS ONE SPEED CAMERA SITE AND WHO MAYBE LOST THEIR LICENSE AND JOB IN THE PROCESS, BE A POTENTIAL PROTEST VOTE FOR A "FED-UP MOTORIST PARTY."
HOW MANY PEOPLE GO TO VOTE BECAUSE IT'S COMPULSORY, AND INSTEAD OF WRITING "MICKEY MOUSE" ON THE BALLOT PAPER, WOULD EVEN AS A LARK, TICK IN THE MOTORIST PARTY SQUARE INSTEAD, especialy if they've been stung by a speed camera (in their view unfairly)
