The proof is in the pudding
Before the Sydney Harbour Bridge was opened, to prove that the bridge was strong enough, most of Sydney's railway locomotives were rolled out onto the bridge
To prove that 2 fixing points on a clearway sign bracket can hold up a little aluminion sign, I drilled an extra hole in a RMS clearwaysign bracket, and reattached the bracket, and Yellow hi-Vis sign back in it's original position.
The hole in the pole underneath the bracket was where the RMS had put in a coach bolt to hold up the bracket after the original one fixing bolt let the sign, and the RMS down.
Which didn't help as the one original bolt was so loose, that the sign flapped up and down in the wind as you can see by the damage above the bracket.
and as with all the locomotives on the Harbour bridge, and one extra coach bolt in the clearway sign bracket, neither the bridge collapsed, nor did the sign.
The stack of weights I hung from the sign show quite clearly I think, that two bolts could be better than the "Australian Standard" of one.
The Hi-Vis clearway sign was pushed up, in early may this year, and since then has adopted it's preferred angle, then is the one with the now, two bolts, and further along is another one on the lean.
When I took the above photo, the two clearway signs visable were put up less than three weeks earlier.
A couple of fat irate budgies may have landed on those two signs.
It's all a bit sad
Would that have happened if there had been TWO fixing bolts?

I have just rung the Kempsey Office of roads Minister Pavey, and spoke to Jodie, who said she would let head office know I rang. Head office might know I rang but what happens then? I asked Jodie to show Ms Pavey www.schoolzonesanta.com when she pops in, (she is from Kempsey) as by the lack of meaniful action over the last two and a half years from head office Ms Pavey is being kept in the dark, or is being mis-informed.

I ALSO EMAILED MY LOCAL STATE MP MR LEE EVANS TODAY
Hi,
I did email Mr Evans about this matter before, my earlier email and Mr Evans' reply are below.
This saga has gone on for over two years and RMS incompetence is getting worse.
Might I say the way Ms Pavey's office has handled my concerns also leaves a lot to be desired
Please have a look at my website www.schoolzonesanta.com and all will be explained
Thank you
Regards
Hans Stephens

Dear Mr Evans,
I sent an email to my old MP, Mr Kerr, and his office said my email would be forwarded onto you.
As I haven't had a reply to my RMS concerns, I will repeat them. The RMS is renewing old white clearway signs with new Hi-Vis yellow ones
My website www.schoolzonesanta.com explains it all, with photos of clearly incompetent installation of the new signs using rubbish brackets which didn't work with the old white signs either. I have emailed the new roads minister weeks ago, with no response.
All that needs to be done is for someone to take charge, scrap the old brackets, and use a bit of common sense, and two screws as shown in one photo. Hope you can help, before they go right through NSW changing signs at great in unnecessary expense to the taxpayer.
Regards Hans Stephens

Dear Mr Stephens,
Thank you for your email, I do appreciate your concerns. The RMS have all new staff and it does take time to get their portfolio together.
I am still waiting on replies myself!
Kind regards
Lee
