Sign of the times
Everywhere you look there are trailer mounted signs telling of exra police patrols targeting this or that, so when I read this article in the Daily Telegraph on Thursday,
as you can see I did edit the article
I emailed the Letter's page and The Daily Telegraph printed my letter this morning

The letters' editor did shorten my letter by "adjusting" my last point.

"There no doubt would be a deterrent value in these signs but what is needed are more real highway patrol officers in unmarked cars, not just "smoke and mirror" signs and and the ever increasing number of speed cameras that don't catch the hard core serial speeders or drink drivers."

Smarties don't take any notice of signs and with their Sat navs, speed cameras aren't a worry, but the unmarked police car is the ultimate deterrent
