Dear Minister Borger,.
Thank you for your letter of Dec 2010.
I did see the new flashing lights at the Beverly Hills school zone the day before your letter arrived.
A great Xmas present for drivers at that spot and of course the children, because most drivers if they are aware that it's school zone time, will be even more careful and drive at the correct speed..
Obviously you could see merit in my suggestion for the extra flashing light unit Beverly Hills, whereas the two previous road ministers didn't as the "Beverly Hills" category on my website www.schoolzonesanta.com
shows. Could I impose on you to look at anothe matter that has bothered me. South st Kogarah at the school zone that started me on school zones. Drivers that enter the school zone from South st onto Princes Highway, if they turn right, while watching what lane they're in and avoiding the centre fence and kerbing, can easily not notice the school zone sign (facing away from them) accelerate and unwittingly get snapped by the speed camera there. A school zone sign facing South st (as was done at the Phillip st and King Georges rd Blakehurst school zone) would easily seen by drivers waiting at the lights for a green.
A lot of drivers coming out of South st would have been visiting patients or seeing doctors themselves and school zone time may be far from their thoughts at that time.

UPDATE Thurs 20

I rang 2GB this morning and spoke to Ray about the new flashing lights at Beverly Hills and complimented Mr Borger, giving credit where credits due.
