John Robertson MP ...Premier to be

"THE WEST IS BEST TO LIVE YOUR DREAMS"
The above Telegraph article caught my eye and I couldn't help myself...

.........................................................................
For "space reasons" my letter was trimmed a bit, and this was left out
"I will be waiting to see how many houses in the area could be bought with the taxayers funds used to provide suitable digs for the Honourable Mr Robertson, if the "safe seat" margin is enough."
..........................................................................
It's all about waste.
I have sent the Opposition leader an email about this

Subject: Office renovations
Dear Mr O'farrell,
Next March it appears quite certain that you will lead a new government in NSW, a state with massive problems, one on it's knees as far as inferstucture etc is concerned which only a vast amount of money can fix, funds from taxes and charges and from borrowing
An awful lot of this wasted, for just one example google " railcorp icac"
http://www.icac.nsw.gov.au/investigations/past-investigations/investigationdetail/44
or for waste on display, see
http://schoolzonesanta.com/index.php/2008/11/25/title_51
and for more more examples of where tax payers money is wasted see "Smilar items" (right hand column ) of next link
http://catalogue.nla.gov.au/Record/3964428
How much of the RTA's budget is spent on administration?
My concern is that when the changeover begins next March "preferred contractors" will be out in force to tart up government offices for outlandish sums ( because the new tenants deserve it ) with designer furniture and $3.000 chairs as in the Miss Gillard's war room in Canberra.
To show the NSW people that your government is really there for NSW and it's people, how about an announcement that you plan to rein in the waste, starting with a monotorium on office renovations.
Respect is earned, and plans like this,
doesn't win respect with the electorate.
regards
Hans Stephens.
