Is it finished?
"Is it finished?" my wife asked after I received a return call from the RMS Director of Clearways Ms Hillary Johnson.
My wife had also asked me that, when I'd sent photos in, of the South Hurstville, three week old signs pictured below.

It will be finished in three weeks, I then confidentaly told her, thinking nobody with any brains would not take notice of this latest incompetence
Ms Johnson told me yesterday that maintanence crews will be sent out to re-adjust the clearway signs using "two fixing points"
This will take some time she told me
tBut this could take some time she said.TWo fixing pointse time she said.
How many hundreds of clearway signs have been replaced since I first brought out this obvious installation problem???
It would't have needed to be done, if after my first email 3 years ago, someone had used a bit common sense then.
I told Ms Johnson I will keep an eye on progress in the re-adjusting effort, reminding her that there was a NSW State Election next March and I'm sure that the Premier wouldn't (or the Road Minister Ms Pavey) want extra bad publicity leading up to march.
I've spent more than enough time and effort to get this simple matter resolved.

So there we have it "two fixing points" but as I said to Ms Jonhson the RMS has already gone back other times, and put an extra bolt under the loose bracket (as has been the case) can keep the sign from going down ...but not up
As you can see in this effort in Gordon.
The wind blew this sign,... UP .

And this pathetic effort to hold up this bracket in Gymea.
I re-adjusted this clearway bracket
with a second
bolt through the bracket

I'll know that things are differant now in the clearway installation regime of the RMS, when the last section on King Georges rd. between Rocky Point rd. Beverly Hills, and Moorfields Rd. Kingsgrove is done.
This section is yet to go from old white to the new whiz bang Hi-Vis yellow
Reading back through previous maybe people might think I am a bit touched for going on and on about this.
Maybe I am,
but maybe I've just
been persistent.
