I passed the new flashing lights at Blakehurst this morning during school zone time,.........AND THEY WERE WORKING!!!!!

And when I passed the Olsen lights in Belmore Rd Peakhurst they were also quietly doing their job, no fuss,and no ladder in sight.

Note the middle car's brake lights.

Well it's finally been announced..... THE LANE COVE TUNNEL will be opened on the 25/3/07 the day AFTER the NSW STATE ELECTION.

Last year on the 15/2/06 I wrote this,

The present government must wish all this would go away because we have our next state election next March, and the Lane Cove Tunnel is going to open, and it also has "tunnel funneling"and road narrowing and closures, coercing drivers to use the tunnel.

Maybe there might be "technical Problems" and the tunnel opening is delayed, coincidentaly, till after the poll.

Today the lane cove tunnel boss explained on 2GB, that the tunnel opening had been delayed because of "ventilation fan problems"
Sounds like technical problems to me.

We are told that the opening the tunnel the day after the Poll is all just a coincidence.
