Doesn't time fly?
This time twelve months ago was my last day at the Kogarah school zone with my santa suit and sign, and I can say I'm a lot more relaxed now.
What a month that was.
What has happened in the 365 days since then?
The cost of fines for low range speeding has gone down, so at least if you do forget the time ,it won't cost as much.
But you do get an extra demerit point.
The state opposition party has promised to install flashing lights at schools if it wins the next election.
The present government is waiting for the results of "the flashing light trial" which finished 8 (eight) months ago . The "independent company" evaluating the trial data is very thorough it seems.
And every day unaware drivers are cruising through school zones
Speaking of unaware, last week I sent an email to a talk back show and then rang the show but didn't get a chance to speak . I didn't realize my phone was off and the show's producer was trying to contact me.
I did get his e-mail but by then the subject had passed.
It'll be in the news again so, I'll try then.
