How many thousands of drivers saw it this morning?

Why would I be bothered to go to the trouble?

I can't stand people being hoodwinked

It's a very similar situation to what made me take up the school zone santa thing, people being caught out because they are unaware.

Don't get me wrong the technology is great the Foxtel channels are superb,beautiful crisp clear pictures.

BUT...

Although Optus vision has all 5 "free to air" TV channels, Foxtell Ditital has 3 and the majority of people I've spoken to, didn't know until they tried to click onto them using their remote.

To get Foxtel customer feedback was easy, all I needed to do was ask people that live in a house that has a Foxtel satellite dish on their roof.

On asking Foxtel why, different people were told

"Foxtel is in negotiations."
"It's something to do with copyright"
"It's in the term's and conditions"
"Foxtel is in the business of selling packages of channels and the "retransmitted" channels are complimentary."

One big reason people get pay TV in poor reception areas,is to get clear "free to air" channels, plus whatever "package" of channels they can afford.

Another reason, is to get away from advertisements.

Yea right. I'll get out a stopwatch and pad and pen one day.

Foxtel customers on the "old" cable do get all the "free to air",so if they live in a bad reception area, is "upgrade to digital" the way to go, at the moment?

Nowhere in any Foxtel advertising have I seen any mention of "free to air" channels, or lack of same.

So I'm going to help Foxtel make prospective customers aware of what they are been talked into signing.

If they live in a good TV reception area, get Foxtel Digital by all means, although having to use two remotes to "surf" the channels is a bit annoying.

Pass on this site to friends especially those that have a three story TV antenna.

The page below is about my dealings with Foxtel and before I posted it on the web I printed a copy and sent it to Foxtel and asked them if anything was not correct to let me know.
