Great news !!!
The State Liberals announced today that they are going to put "flashing lights" at school zones if elected at the next election.
It will cost $40 million and be done on a priority basis.
This has also trumped any move by the Carr government to come out and say that after all the "trials" with flashing lights, they turn out not be "inconclusive" after all, and the RTA will now install them.
This idea is bound to win a lot of votes for Mr Brogden as he has beaten Mr Carr to the punch.
I can't understand that with all the negative publicity over the last few years and the great number of good drivers being "treated unfairly "at school zones (as the Kogarah labor member Ms Burton said ) that this press release wasn't picked up by the print media and TV.
Doesn't good news rate?
